Composite Shaft

Haute Stick Lacrosse was the first company to make a Composite lacrosse shaft. All the way back in 1992 we were out talking to military jet designers, golf club manufactures and and just about anybody that we could find that made high strength light weight tubes out of advanced materials. We spent months researching different materials and new and innovative ways of manufacturing composites. After over one year of research we designed and developed the first composite lacrosse shaft prototype.

As you can see from the photo, we had yet to work out the geometry and a few details, but it was light, strong and extreamly expensive. Since we didn't think any one would pay $300 dollars for a composite lacrosse shaft, we went back to the drawing board. After many long nights and a few boaring days we finally came up with way to make a high strength, low weight shaft but at a significant reduction in price. Our first few shafts sold to players in Southern California and through some of our dealers back east.
